If you have purchased downloadable items from Catholic Icing before, you may have noticed that it was kind of a clunky setup. I had wanted to make it easier for a long time, but the site that I was selling downloads and printables through was easy on our end and it can be a lot of work to change up how you do things.
A few weeks ago, my project manager, Angie (who owns the site Real Life at Home) put in a ton of hours setting up a whole new storefront for all of the printables and paid downloadable products on Catholic Icing.
The new store is all done now and I’m so excited!
Some Important Things about the New Way to Purchase Printables on Catholic Icing
1. There is now a dedicated storefront online that looks a lot like the set up on other sites you have probably already shopped with. It is much more visual and has an easier cart system to deal with.
2. The new storefront is on a subdomain of Catholic Icing. So, you’ll just go to https://shop.catholicicing.com to buy downloadable items. It looks just like the regular Catholic Icing site, so that way you know you’re in the right place. (In fact, I put this note on the subdomain. So, you’re on it right now!)
3. It’s easier to purchase multiple items at a time now! (Finally!)
4. Each downloadable item now has two options for how to purchase it based on your intended usage. When you add it to your cart, you will either pick (1) one family or a single classroom or (2) multiple classrooms in the same school, a large group (like a homeschool co-op, for instance), or a whole religious education program (in a single parish).
This means you won’t have to wonder how many times you need to buy a product because you want to use it in three classrooms at the same grade level in a school, for example. Just buy the multiple classroom/large group use option, and you’re set.
Please be honest about your usage when purchasing. This is how I support my family, so I appreciate your honesty and support.
5. You will still receive an email after you purchase your item. It will have two links in it for each item you purchase. One link goes back to the product listing on the site. The other link in the “download” column is where you will click to download your purchase.
If you set up an account, you should be able to log back in to get purchases later as well.
6. The Catholic ABC’s Preschool Curriculum and the Illustrated Mass Booklets are listed in the shop, but the links for them go back to the old way to purchase them on the site. Because they are physical products and not downloads, we still need to handle them the way we used to through Catholic Icing and then through PayPal.
They are just listed in the shop as an easy way to find them. They can’t be added to the cart in the same way printables can.
